The Newbie’s Guide To Making Money On The Internet

Building Your Own Website
(1)There comes a time in every new Internet Marketer’s journey when you realize, “I need my own website”. There’s only so much you can do with a blog, or article marketing, forum posting etc. without your own website.
So what’s the best way to get started?
- The (almost) universally accepted *best* all-in-one website and business builder is Ken Envoy’s SiteBuildIt! Websites created by SiteBuildIt users are consistently in the top 3% in terms of traffic and profitability. No other website/business creation program even comes close. I could go on and on but I’ll let Ken do the talking. If you are serious about building a business online then you cannot go wrong with SiteBuildIt!
- Another great program that I have used myself is BlueVoda. This is a WYSIWYG (What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get) website builder that is really easy to use, very intuitive and user-friendly. I highly recommend their attached hosting solution VodaHost, I have been very satisfied with their support and all-around helpfulness. This is a great and inexpensive choice for beginners who want to get their feet designing their own web pages. I used this to build my first website from the ground up so to speak — you can see it here at www.surfbahamas.net
- There are a number of free website builders out there, some even come with free hosting too. However be careful — you get what you pay for! If you are serious about making money on the internet then you need a reliable host with good support, because you will have questions, and nothing is more frustrating than being left in the dark. A couple of free website builder programs you can consider are www.xsitepro.com, www.ezgenerator.com, and http://business.blinkweb.com/.
In my next post I’ll discuss some of the various hosting options available to you (if your website builder package doesn’t already include hosting).

What’s In A Name?
(0)One of the most important considerations you will have when setting up a new website is what to call it i.e. your domain name. Here are some guidelines to selecting and obtaining the best domain name for your website.
- Do the research. You must identify your target market and make sure that the field you are getting into is both profitable and not too competitive. The starting point is usually some basic keyword research to find out what solutions people are looking for in your market. Once you’ve identified a good market, you can use the results of your keyword research to guide you in the selection of your domain name.
- Spell out a benefit. Try to use a selection of words that identify a benefit of coming to your website. For example, the name of this blog www.earn-income-for-life.com actually spells out two benefits, “earn income” and “income for life”.
- It should sound good and be easy to enter. You should be able to explain to someone clearly how to enter your website address without having to spell it out letter-by-letter, so that it’s easier to remember.
- Keep trying! You may think that all the good dot-com names are gone but they’re not! Just keep trying different combinations of your keywords and benefits and you will find a great name for your website.
That’s it for this post! Good luck!

Newbies: Get Started Quickly!
(1)Hello aspiring internet money-maker!
You’ve just found my no-nonsense, straightforward guide to getting started making money online.
In today’s first post I’m going to cut to the chase and simply recommend the 3 best beginner programs to join that WILL have you making money within a week. I joined and use them all myself, and they all work.
I reviewed a lot of different programs for beginners, and then selected the very best and easiest programs to get you going quickly, so you can avoid unnecessary and expensive trial and error, and start bringing in real money right away.
Ready? Let’s get started!
First things first. You will need the following 3 things:
- A computer and an internet connection. Yes, this goes without saying, but if you are trying to get started on an older, slow computer, or without a high-speed internet connection, you will waste a lot of time just waiting. Consider upgrading your computer and internet connection. And don’t try and do this on your “work” computer, you’ll regret it later when you’re ready to quit your job!
- Motivation! Making money on the internet is not rocket science by any means, in fact it’s pretty easy once you know what to do, but it does take ambition, commitment and focus. You need to treat this as a business just like any other, and realize that the more you put in, the more you’ll get out of it. Particularly at the beginning, you need to be 100% devoted to making this work (don’t worry, it will work, it’s working for me and thousands of others in a big way!)
- A hobby or field that you are enthusiastic about. When you’re first getting started, it’s important to choose a field that you are passionate about, have an interest in, or have some specialized knowledge of. This not only helps to keep the process fun, but will come across loud and clear to your visitors. Conversely, if you’re trying to promote yourself and other people’s products in a field you know nothing about, your visitors will see through that right away and go somewhere else! Find your expertise and then share it!
By far the easiest and quickest way to start making money is in Affiliate Marketing, which is essentially recommending other people’s products on your website(s) and receiving commissions for any sales you refer. I highly recommend you choose from one of the following top 3 Affiliate Marketing programs which are specifically designed for beginners. These require no prior technical knowledge, just the 3 basic “tools” outlined above.
Michael Cheney’s Start Your Profits Today is a really great, step-by-step guide to getting your very first website (actually a weblog or “blog”) up and running and making money in no time flat! It’s what I used to set up this blog! Michael has a great sense of humor which makes watching his videos entertaining as well as informative, and he explains everything in a clear manner that is very easy to follow.
Ewen Chia’s Newbie Cash Machine is another excellent step-by-step guide that shows you how you can quickly get started in affiliate marketing (selling other people’s products online) and start making money right out of the gate. Ewen has a clear, no-nonsense style that is very easy to follow and implement. Highly recommended.
Stone Evans’ Plug-In Profit Site has a proven track record of helping thousands of individuals just like you get started making real money on the internet. His program sets you up to tap into six different income streams from six established internet marketing companies, and EVERYTHING is set up for you! All you have to do is promote the websites that he sets up for you, which is really easy with all the tools he provides. This one is really a no-brainer that every beginner should have in their arsenal.
You should dive right in and join one (or all) of these programs! Not only will you start making money right away, but you’ll learn a lot in a short period of time, and be ready to move on to the next level!
These 3 programs are really the very easiest way to get set to make money online right now. Tomorrow I’ll be posting my advice on how to set up your very own website with your own content if you want to do a little more “work”
on your own.See you tomorrow!
